The City of Mill Creek has promoted Tom Rogers, AICP, to fill the vacant Community Development Department Director position.  Tom was formerly the Planning Manager and has served as the City’s staff representative to the Snohomish County Tomorrow Planning Advisory Committee for many years.

“We are very happy to have a skilled and experienced person on staff to fill this important position,” said Tom Gathmann, Mill Creek Acting City Manager. “Tom Rogers has over twenty years experience with Mill Creek and has been actively involved in the many planning challenges the City has faced during this time period. His first hand knowledge of the issues, people and community will be a great asset in leading the Community Development Department in years to come.”

Rogers began work with the City in April, 1992 as a Senior Planner and was promoted to the position of Planning Manager in 2002.  For the 5 years before arriving in Mill Creek, he previously worked as a planner for the City of Huntington Beach, CA.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
