Community Transit provides bus, vanpool, and paratransit services in Mill Creek, throughout Snohomish County, and beyond. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our communities and how we move through them.

Despite these challenges, Community Transit has continued providing an essential service to the communities we are a part of and proud to serve.

Throughout the pandemic, public transit has helped get people to front-line jobs and essential destinations and helped connect riders with crucial resources and services. The past year has underscored the importance of public transportation and how it can serve as a lifeline to communities in crisis.

How is Community Transit working to keep riders and employees safe? With the guidance of public health experts, we have taken many safety measures to help reduce contact on buses for riders and drivers, such as daily disinfecting, requiring masks for riders and employees, upgrading air filters, and closing off seats for safe distancing.

How can riders help make sure transit remains a safe option for travel? Community Transit asks riders to:

  • Wear a mask while waiting for your bus and throughout your ride.
  • Avoid riding if you are sick or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19.
  • Keep a safe distance from others whenever possible.
  • Wash your hands frequently.
  • Pay contact-free with an ORCA card.
  • Stay informed by subscribing to our rider alerts and using our BusFinder tool for the latest service updates.

With these safety measures in place and with the help of riders like you, choosing transit can continue to be a safe and reliable option. As our communities work together to move forward, Community Transit will continue to connect communities while prioritizing safety.
